In July 2021, Liliia Kaluzhyna, a renowned Ukrainian and Italian artist, participated in the Collective Exhibition at Rocca Brivio Sforza in San Giuliano Milanese during the presentation of the book “Dante Alighieri La Divina Commedia”, illustrated by 333 contemporary artists. Kaluzhyna’s painting, titled “Purgatory Canto 1” (oil on canvas, 120 x 100 cm), was part of this illustrated book of Dante created by modern artists, honoring the poet’s legacy on the 700th anniversary of his death. The exhibition highlights the historical contribution to art, with Kaluzhyna’s work standing out for its deep historical roots. Curated by the art historian and critic Giorgio Gregorio Grasso, this event further established Kaluzhyna as a prominent figure in contemporary art.
