The artist of Ukrainian origins determines the dualism of man in his environment, both when the latter is the simple habitat, and when it is a dimension in which we can find ourselves because they are transported by a primordial passion, just like at his musicians.
Cellos played between the waves and pianos placed in the middle of a forest are dreamlike scenes that manifest the power of the drives, which can literally uproot from the ground, turning into a time machine or a transporter, through which live adventures impossible with our unique and banal existence.
In other works, the kaluzhyna focuses attention on philosophical concepts, such as identity, placing individuals with transparent faces in further dreamlike scenes, in which also metaphysical elements find space, to give further life to the concept.
Even in these situations, however, Kaluzhyna uses objects and figurations within natural horizons, in which the dualism between man and nature is determined, man in his environment, elements on which the artist leads us all to reflect.
Liliia Kaluzhyna is undoubtedly a refined and interesting painter, who combines the visual agreeability of her suggestive colors, an excellent aesthetic sense, and the themes of life that are most dear to her, making them merge into an elegant mixture with which she gives voice to the syntax of soul, expressing feelings in his works of art.
