In November 2022, the renowned Ukrainian artist Liliia Kaluzhyna showcased her impactful artwork titled “Light Conquers Darkness” (Acrylic on canvas, 100×70 cm) at the interactive exhibition “World day against violence against women” in Monza. Held at the Sala Convegni Teatrino di Corte, Villa Reale di Monza, this event was a significant part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Kaluzhyna’s art powerfully conveyed themes of resilience, hope, and the inner strength of women during the war in Ukraine. Her work was curated by the esteemed Giorgio Grasso, as part of the broader Ukrainian Art in Italy project, organized in collaboration with Let’s Do It Ukraine, Let’s Do It Italy, and supported by the Ukrainian and Italian Embassies. Through her vivid colors and emotional brushstrokes, Kaluzhyna captured the struggles and solidarity of Ukrainian women, portraying their fight for freedom. The exhibition aimed to foster cultural exchange and promote a deeper understanding of Ukraine’s artistic and cultural richness, especially among younger audiences.

Participation certificate awarded to Liliia Kaluzhyna for taking part in the “Art Against Violence – a World with Women” exhibition held from November 12 to 17, 2022, at Villa Reale Monza.
