Critical text.

There is all the poetic fascination of an expressionistic color aesthetic in Liliia Kaluzhyna art. A color that becomes language, which speaks through a kaleidoscopic fullness of color that tinges the reality of every more imperceptible and different suggestion of the soul. A dimension hanging between the dreamlike and the fantastic adorns the iconography of his compositions, vibrant with the colors spread on the canvases that open to meditative horizons, to the experience of the emotions felt, the sensations sought. Each representation is an impetuous and engaging horde of suggestions that come from the depths and which are substantiated by the solid and full of color construction quality, used in its many shades, in its contrasts, in its assonances. in “The Smell of Spring” the compositional harmony finds its completeness precisely in the juxtaposition of colors, which are summarized in the aesthetic vision of a perfect balance between man and nature. With striking features, solid textures and impressionistic shades, the colors crowd the canvas in their various shades, describing an almost elegiac, idyllic landscape of nature where the soft thoughts of the slow woman on the boat are welcomed, immersed in the tranquility of the still waters. The sweet spring air pervades the lightness of the places in every smallest brushstroke, in every minimum tonal passage and pushes itself into the plane of feelings that slowly shipwrecks towards ports of calm and emotional serenity. A single large lyric system that frees thoughts, pushes the imagination, runs through the labyrinths of suggestion.
