From October 22 to November 5, 2021, Anim Art Gallery in Genoa hosted a collective exhibition to celebrate the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s death. The exhibition, curated by historian and art critic Giorgio Gregorio Grasso, brought together contemporary artists to visually interpret Dante’s Divine Comedy. Among the works exhibited was Liliia Kaluzhyna’s painting “Dante Alighieri Divina Commedia Purgatorio Canto 1”, completed in 2020. This event represents a significant historical contribution to contemporary art, reflecting Dante’s enduring influence on modern creativity.
