In February 2022, the international exhibition Dante in Ukraine took place at the Modern Art Research Institute of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine in Kyiv. This event, curated by the renowned art historian and critic Prof. Giorgio Grasso, brought together Italian and Ukrainian artists to present their visual interpretations of Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. Among the celebrated works was Liliia Kaluzhyna’s painting, marking a significant contribution to contemporary art. The exhibition was supported by the Ministry of Social Policies and the Italian Cultural Institute in Kyiv. This cultural event not only honored Dante’s legacy on the 700th anniversary of his death but also fostered artistic dialogue between Italy and Ukraine.
